Advice that starts with the farm in front of us.

Every farm has its own reality: its land, labour, animals, markets and limits.

We listen first, then help make the next decision clearer. That may mean planning a new enterprise, improving herd management, or finding the right breeding support.

01

Listen before advising

Good guidance begins with understanding the farm.

02

Keep it useful

Recommendations should work in real conditions, not just on paper.

03

Stay for the follow-through

Progress comes from steady practice and honest review.

Our story

From fieldwork to a full agricultural partner

SIL Farms began with practical, on-the-ground farm work and grew into an agricultural solutions company offering two connected services: expert consultancy for stronger farm enterprises, and quality pig genetics for improved herd performance.

Today we work with individual farmers, commercial farms, farmer groups, institutions and development organisations across Western Uganda — combining practical expertise with quality pig genetics.

We stay close to the realities of farming in Western Uganda, with advice shaped around each farm’s goals, resources and next step.

Mission

To help farmers and agricultural enterprises improve productivity and profitability through practical consultancy and quality pig genetics.

Vision

A region where farms of every size operate with the knowledge and genetics they need to thrive sustainably.

Our approach

Practical expertise. Quality pig genetics.

Field-tested, not theoretical

Guidance is grounded in real farm conditions — from smallholder plots to commercial herds.

Genetics with follow-through

Pig semen is supported by breeding guidance, insemination support and post-service monitoring — not sold as a standalone product.

Responsible claims

We describe genetics as improving production potential when paired with appropriate nutrition, health, housing and management — not as a guarantee.
